Beautiful you + techniques = A perfect combination!

Afgelopen week was het weer zover. Workshop tijd!

Last week it was that time again. Workshop time! During this workshop we worked with three different techniques and the Beautiful You stamp set. This stamp set is perfect for all three techniques mentioned below due to it’s beautiful images.

  1. Reflection technique, is also called the mirror technique. This is a technique where you first stamp the image like you always do and then you stamp it again as a mirror image. Watch this video for more information.
  2. Paper piecing technique. This is when you stamp an image on a piece of designer paper. You cut it out and adhere it to the same image you stamped on regular cardstock. Watch this video for more information.
  3. Stamping and coloring an image on designer paper with the watercolor pencils by Stampin’ Up!

reflection technique

The card below is made by the ladies using the reflection technique. First, they stamped the image of the woman with the umbrella on the notecard and then they added the reflection. After that, they colored the images with the watercolor pencils in the colors: Early Espresso, Calypso Coral (for the skin tone), Pacific Point and Rich Razzleberry.

Paper Piecing technique

Really nice paper with 6 different patterns in 4 colors: Berry Burst (new In Color 2017-2019), Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. For the card we used Berry Burst.

Watercolor Pencils

For the last card, we used the watercolor pencils again. The woman is stamped on the Crushed Curry Color Theory paper and colored with an ombre effect (from light to dark) in the colors: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red. Calypso Coral is used for the skin tone and Early Espresso for the ground. The blender pen was used to really blend the colors.
