In the spotlightoh so succulent spotlight project & blog highlight!

Today, I’m showing you my first Spotlight project with the theme ‘Get Well cards’. With this project I’m also participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International blog highlight today.

You can vote for my project on Kylie’s blog. If you would like to do that, click here! The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop, just like I did earlier this month so please vote for my project, because I’d love to hop again 🙂

get well soon

The theme for the International blog highlight is the same as our Spotlight theme this week: Get Well Soon. A beautiful card can always make someone feel better, right?

For this card I used the ‘Oh So Succulent’ bundle. The colouring of the images is a real breeze because of the two-step stamping technique. First, you stamp the outline of the image and then you stamp de inside of the image.

The text ‘Van Harte Beterschap’ (=Get Well Soon in Dutch) is stamped with the Labeler Alphabet stamp set and I added everything in layers on a background of Vellum and Mint Macaron cardstock. I used the Hexagons embossing folder to emboss the Vellum before I added it to the Mint Macaron cardstock. This creates a great effect, as I say so my self 🙂 I saw this technique on Jenny Hall’s blog, so loads of thanks for the idea, Jenny!
