Met een aantal Creatieve Harten fröbelvriendinnen hebben we een Pocket Letter Swap groep. In deze groep maken we maandelijks een pocket letter (wat is een pocket letter? Klik hier!) rondom een bepaald thema. In de maand juni was dit thema: Stempelset focus. Dus alle deelnemers hebben een pocket letter gemaakt rondom een specifieke stempelset. Natuurlijk, mochten er ook andere stempelsets gebruikt worden om een geheel te maken.
With a few Creatieve Harten craft friends we have a Pocket Letter Swap group. In this group we make a monthly pocket letter (what is a pocket letter? Click here!) around a specific theme. In the month of June the theme was: Stamp focus. So, all participants made a pocket letter focussed on a specific stamp set. Of course, one could use several other stamp sets to create a whole.

Voor mijn pocket letter heb ik de focus gelegd op de ‘In this world’ stempelset. Een stempelset met prachtige afbeeldingen en een vintage uitstraling.
I focused on the stamp set ‘In this world’ for my pocket letter. A stamp set with wonderful images and a vintage look.
Ik besloot om ook mijn pocket letter een vintage stijl te geven en uit te gaan van een geheel. Ik heb dus met potlood de afmetingen van de pocket letter kaartjes op een a4 getekend. Daarna heb ik met Timeless Textures een achtergrond gestempeld met Sahara Sand en Crumb Cake. Vervolgens heb ik diverse afbeeldingen op het vel gestempeld met Memento Tuxedo Black. Buiten de afbeeldingen van de In this world stempelset heb ik ook gebruik gemaakt van de Butterfly Basics, Best Birds, Traveler en Labeler Alphabet stempelsets.
I decided to give my pocket letter a vintage look also and start from one sheet of paper. So, I drew the measurements of the pocket letter inserts on an a4-sheet. Then I stamped the background with Timeless Textures in the colors Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake. After that I stamped the images on the sheet with Memento Tuxedo Black. In addition to the images of the In this world stamp set, I also used the Butterfly Basics, Best Birds, Traveler and Labeler Alphabet stamp sets.

Daarna ben ik alle afbeeldingen gaan inkleuren met aqua painters in veel, heel veel verschillende inktkleuren.
After that I started to color in the images with aqua painters and a lot, a whole lot of different ink colors.
Daarna ben ik alle afzonderlijke kaartjes gaan afwerken met nog meer stempels en heel veel sponzen 🙂 Daarna heb ik het vel papier gesneden en versierd met parels, lintjes, linen thread, etc. Achter ieder kaartje heb ik een kaartje van Chocolate Chip cardstock geplakt om alles wat steviger te maken.
After that I started to finish off all inserts with a lot more stamps and a whole lot of sponging 🙂 Then I cut the sheet of paper and embellished everything with pearls, ribbons, linen thread, etc. Behind each insert I glued a Chocolate Chip cardstock card to make it a bit sturdier.

Aan de achterkant heb ik nog wat kleine geschenkjes toegevoegd voor de ontvanger en natuurlijk een brief! In de maanden juli en augustus hebben we een pocket letter pauze ingelast, maar in september zal ik jullie weer op de hoogte houden van mijn pocket letter perikelen 🙂
On the back I added some small gifts for the recipient and of course a letter! In the months July and August we paused our pocket letter swap, but I September I will keep you posted on my pocket letter makings 🙂
